FOR A RELIABLE, CLEAR, AND SECURE MARKETPLACE
This Publishing Charter defines the quality and legality standards required on PONT DU COMMERCE. Our goal is to offer Togolese buyers a clean, honest, and trustworthy marketplace. Every seller agrees to comply with these rules before publishing any item.
1. SELLER GOLDEN RULES (Best Practices)
To ensure your shop success and respect for buyers, every listing must meet these requirements:
- Real and Clear Photos: You must use real photos of the product you are selling. Using stolen or misleading internet images is forbidden.
- Price Transparency: The displayed price must be the real sale price. Fake prices (e.g. 1 FCFA) only to attract attention, or "Price in inbox", are strongly discouraged and may be hidden.
- Honest Description: The condition of the product (New or Used) must be clearly stated. Any defect must be mentioned.
- Availability: You must only publish items currently in stock and available for sale. Out-of-stock products must be removed or hidden.
2. BLACKLIST: STRICTLY PROHIBITED PRODUCTS
PONT DU COMMERCE is not a lawless market. Publishing the following is strictly forbidden and leads to immediate removal:
- Illegal and dangerous products: Firearms, bladed weapons, explosives, drugs, narcotics, and illegal substances.
- Fraud and counterfeits: Fake documents (passports, diplomas, visas), counterfeit money, and obvious counterfeits of major brands.
- Health and safety risks: Prescription medicines, unverified pharmaceutical products, so-called miracle cures, and dangerous or prohibited cosmetics.
- Financial scams: Money multiplication offers, pyramid schemes, dubious peer-to-peer loans, and fake job offers.
- Inappropriate content: Any item, image, or text that is pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, or incites violence.
3. ENFORCEMENT AND SANCTIONS
The PONT DU COMMERCE moderation team monitors this charter daily. In case of violation, sanctions apply based on severity:
- Level 1 (Warning): Immediate hiding or removal of the non-compliant listing (e.g. poor photo quality or misleading price).
- Level 2 (Suspension): In case of repeated offenses or refusal to fix a listing, the entire shop may be hidden from public view for a defined period.
- Level 3 (Closure and Prosecution): Publishing products from the blacklist (illegal products, scams) leads to immediate permanent account closure without refund. In accordance with our GTU, fraud and illegal sales are reported directly to Togolese judicial authorities.
